St. Petersburg Vacation Rental Information
Reservations
A $500 Reservation deposit, plus the cost of Travel Insurance (if purchased) must be paid to reserve a Property. Payment must be on a valid credit card, Visa and MasterCard accepted. The balance of your reservation is required to be paid in full 60 days prior to your arrival. If the reservation is booked less than 60 days prior to arrival, all monies are due at time of booking. You will receive a confirmation email with log in credentials for our Guest Portal where you can electronically sign the Guest Agreement and manage your reservation. The Guest Agreement must be signed for a reservation to be fully confirmed.
Accidental Damage Protection
The Accidental Damage Protection service is designed to help repair or replace accidental damage that may occur during Guest’s occupancy of the vacation rental. The service is provided and administered by Agent and is not an insurance product. The Accidental Damage Protection is automatically applied to all reservations. The Accidental Damage Protection pays for repair of accidental damage to only the interior of the Property that may occur during Guest’s occupancy, provided that the damage is disclosed to Agent prior to check-out. The Accidental Damage Protection will NOT pay for damage resulting from gross negligence, willful and/or intentional acts of Guest or any other person who enters the Property with the permission of Guest, normal wear and tear, smoking within the Property, and/or damage caused by a pet brought onto the Property. The Accidental Damage Protection does NOT apply to theft or damage to any personal property owned or brought onto the Property by Guest.
Check-In
Check-in time is after 4:00 pm. EST. If the unit is available, and the guest would like to check in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee. For those anticipating late arrival (after 5:00 p.m.), holidays or weekends, please call Compass Vacation Rentals to make arrangements to pick up your keys and your Welcome Package.
Check-Out
Check-out time is 10:00 am. If you need a late check out, please contact Compass Vacation Rentals prior to the check-out date. All late check-outs will be charged a late check-out fee dependent on the time of checkout. Please remember to dispose of all food, remove all garbage from the property and lock sliders and doors. The zippered pouch containing 2 sets of keys and pool tags MUST be returned to the office upon departure.
Refundable Damage Deposit
Seven (7) days before the initial date of occupancy, a Refundable Damage Deposit of $300.00 must be paid by Guest, which Guest authorizes Agent to charge to Guest’s credit card without notice to the Guest. The Damage fee may be applied by Owner or Agent to compensate Owner for any unusual wear and tear on the Property, for repair of any physical damage to the Property, for any other monies owed by Guest under the Guest Agreement, and for any costs and attorney’s fees associated with Guest’s failure to fulfill the terms of the Agreement. After Guest has vacated the Property, Agent will inspect the Property and will deduct from the Damage fee for any unusual wear and tear or any physical damage and for any other monies owed by Guest as well as any costs and attorney’s fees associated with Guest’s failure to fulfill the terms of the Agreement. The balance of the damage fee will be refunded to Guest.
Cancellations
All payments become NON- REFUNDABLE at sixty (60) days prior to the initial date of occupancy. If Guest cancels the Reservation prior to 60 days from initial date of occupancy, a $300 cancellation fee will be deducted from the funds received and the remainder refunded to the guest. There shall be no refunds for early departures, pool closures, exterior construction, interior maintenance or repairs or inclement weather, including hurricanes. Agent reserves the right to cancel the Reservation and this Agreement at any time up to sixty (60) days prior to the initial date of occupancy, for any reason, and will refund the $500 Reservation deposit to the Guest within fifteen (15) days of cancellation. Parking
Each property has one (1) assigned parking space, for which you will receive a parking pass. Guests other than the tenants are permitted to park in guest spaces provided for a short period of time. If your guests are staying for more than 72 hours, please notify us and we will issue a guest parking pass.
Cleaning
Properties will be clean and ready for your arrival. One load of laundry is included in the departure clean for a one-bedroom property. Two loads of laundry are included in the departure clean for a two-bedroom property. You will be billed for additional loads of laundry. The refrigerator must be emptied, and all trash removed from the property. There must be no dirty dishes left in the property.
Telephones and Internet Services
All vacation properties have active landlines. Local service is provided for your convenience. This enables you to make calls within the local area, as well as receive incoming calls. Our properties are also equipped with basic cable and internet service. Your network information can be found on the network card in the key bag.
What to Bring
Bed and bath linens as well as essential kitchen utensils, cookware, flatware, dinnerware, and glassware are provided for guest use in all our properties. You will need to supply your own paper products (paper towels, napkins, toilet paper), garbage bags, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and any specialty items you may desire during your stay.
Repairs and Service Calls
All appliances and equipment in our properties are maintained and deemed in good working condition. However, we cannot guarantee that breakdowns will not occur. Please report any problems with appliances, air conditioning, etc. to our Customer Service Department. Repairs will be scheduled and performed within a reasonable time after notice from the guest. If the above scheduled service call is unwarranted or due to the negligence of the guest, the guest will be responsible for payment.
Things Beyond our Control
Our Agents work very hard to make sure your stay is comfortable and memorable. However, there may be issues that are just beyond our control, just as there are issues beyond your control at your home. For example: construction nearby, inclement weather and acts of nature (including hurricanes), noisy neighbors, breakdown of air conditioners, TV's, DVD's, electronics and/or appliances. Please understand that there will be no refunds or discounts offered or expected for such things. Of course, we will do everything in our power to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.
